This year we are celebrating 21 years of welcoming guests to Eaton Manor!
Back in 2001, Nichola opened up The Manor House to guests.
Now, 21 years later, we have 8 holiday cottages sleeping up to 56 guests, and an in-house team of 12 to look after everyone!
To celebrate this special occasion, we had an Eaton Manor Team ‘Fun Day’ as a thank you to the team for all their hard work.
We had a great day all together, taking part in some of the activities our guests can enjoy whilst staying here…
- We started with a team ‘Have-a-Go’ archery session with our wonderful local coach (and ex Archery GB coach), Tom Williamson
- After which we had a delicious lunch by one of our local chefs, Jane Wilde Catering.
- Followed by a mindfulness and chair yoga session with our local Yoga teacher, Sue Pugh.
- The team gave Nichola a beautiful bouquet of flowers as a thank you for everything, from local flower grower, Wall Flowers.
- And finally we all enjoyed a delicious birthday cake, because no birthday celebration is complete without cake!
Eaton Manor has been in the Madeley family since 1934, with the fifth generation of the family now growing up here.
The estate has seen many changes in this time. However, Nichola (fourth generation) made the decision to diversify into holiday cottage accommodation in 2001 and opened up The Manor House to guests – sleeping 9 to begin with. This fabulous house, dating from 17th Century, has had a programme of continuous renovation and improvements since then, and now sleeps 14 in 7 stunning and characterful ensuite bedrooms.
All the other cottages were properties owned by the estate, either as dwellings or farm buildings which were then fully renovated.
Pendennis was opened to guests in 2005, with Curlew Cottage being opened soon after in 2006. Whilst Woodpecker Way was opened to guests in 2007, and Toad Hall in 2008.
Garden Cottage was opened in 2015, with Great Western Lodge and Pheasant Walk not long after.
