Escape the Everyday at Eaton manor

This Half Term

This October half term (or early November for some) is an ideal opportunity to get away from it all before the chill of winter sets in, and our swimming pool will still be open!

Eaton Manor is the perfect choice with a wide variety of things to do on the estate to entertain everyone in your group.

We booked this as a last minute break and we are so pleased we did. The cottage was like a warm blanket that provided much needed comfort. It was very clean, well set out with a beautiful secure garden for our dog to explore. The grounds are great for exploring and we enjoyed the pool and the games barn. The welcome pack was a real delight too as were the doggie treats. The team were wonderful too… We would love to stay again.

What could you enjoy at Eaton Manor this half term?

Luxury Cottages

Our selection of holiday cottages suit all sizes of groups.

From couples & small families, to large multigenerational groups. They are all 4 & 5 Star Gold and are family-friendly and dog-friendly, and 4 of them are accessible.

Dogs Welcome

Bring your dog(s) and enjoy a truly dog-friendly holiday experience.

With spectacular Shropshire countryside walks on your door step, a warm dog wash for afterwards, and various little extras, your four legged friend will really feel at home as well.

Games Barn & Soft Play

Our indoor games barn is a great big space on-site for use by all guests.

Come rain or shine, you’ll be sure that there’s plenty for the whole family, including a large soft play area, snooker, pool, table tennis, air hockey and table football etc.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool will be open this year until 7th November 2022.

Enjoy the luxury of your own pool with our online booking system – allowing you to book your private use for hour-long slots each day to enjoy with your group.

Green Open Spaces

Explore Eaton Manor’s 500 acres of beautiful countryside at your leisure.

Enjoy fun packed walks, play ‘Pooh Sticks’ on the bridge, paddle through the brook, relax with a peaceful stroll and spot some wonderful wildlife along the way.

Go Wild Challenge

Our Go Wild Challenge is popular with our younger guests, and they get a prize!

Having taken inspiration from the National Trust’s ‘50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾’ we have compiled our own ‘Go Wild’ challenge with ‘25 things to do at Eaton Manor’!

Have-a-Go Archery

Our ‘have-a-go’ archery sessions are a great family activity.

Provided by a professional coach in our indoor archery range, including use of all the equipment you’ll need, our ‘have-a-go’ archery sessions are great fun for everyone.

Wellness Treatments

Relax & repair with wellness treatments in our on-site Wellness Studio.

Our wellness therapist, Adrianna, offers treatments in tranquil surroundings on the estate, all tailored to your needs and your time available during your stay.

Chef prepared food to enjoy…

Although our holiday cottages are self-catered, we have links with some first-class local food suppliers who can help make your stay at Eaton truly relaxing.

Rather than having to cook during your stay, you can indulge in delicious drop off suppers that you re-heat at your convenience.

If you have a special occasion to celebrate you could even have one of our chefs to come and cook for you in your holiday home – and they clear everything away afterwards as well for the ultimate treat!

Fun things to do locally…

With October comes the fabulously fun time of Halloween!

To celebrate Halloween this year, one of our local farms, Claybrook Farm, has a Pumpkin patch and is open for pumpkin picking.

Here you can also carve your pumpkins and enjoy freshly baked cakes, sweet treats and snacks, together with hot drinks.

Claybrook Farm is about a 5 minute drive from Eaton Manor, or roughly a 45 minute walk along country lanes.

Go for a walk with the promise of a fresh milkshake (available all year round)!

Another of our local farms, Proper Good Dairy, has a chilled vending machine where you can buy fresh milkshakes (in compostable lidded cups to take away with you).

This is where the fresh milk we provide in the cottages on your arrival is from, so you can also refill your glass milk bottle whilst you’re here too! Other chilled products are also available.

Proper Good Dairy is also about a 5 minute drive from Eaton Manor, or roughly a 45 minute walk along country lanes (although in the opposite direction to Claybrook Farm).

Everything you’ll ever need

We pride ourselves in helping you organise your special event or celebration, be it a milestone birthday, reunion, anniversary or simply an excuse to get together with friends and family. There is so much to enjoy on the Estate as well as exciting activities and guest services - and if you have a particular activity in mind please let us know and we will try to source it locally for you.
