Eaton Manor is located within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just a 10-minute drive from Church Stretton, one of the towns mentioned by ABTA, making it the perfect base from which to explore this amazing county.
Local Towns
Church Stretton
10-minute drive
The nearest small town to Eaton (4 miles away), Church Stretton is a quaint market town with independent shops, pubs, cafes, post office and a small supermarket. It is also the local hub for walkers and cyclists wanting to explore the magnificent Shropshire Hills.
Much Wenlock
20-minute drive
Much Wenlock is a delightful medieval town and played a major part in the 19th century revival of the Olympic Games. A short stroll from the town centre are the dramatic ruins of Wenlock Priory laid upon the site of St. Milburga’s Abbey at around 680 AD.
Ludlow
25-minute drive
A larger town than Church Stretton, Ludlow (12 miles away) is a beautiful market town. It has a spectacular medieval Castle, well worth a visit, and the town is renowned for its many quality eateries as well as its traditional open-air market and local produce.
Ironbridge
35-minute drive
Ironbridge is known as the birthplace of industry, with the world’s first iron bridge erected over the River Severn here in Shropshire in 1779. It is now a renowned World Heritage Site with numerous museums to explore and various places to eat.
