Our Charity Spring Walk & Easter Trail
Raised Over £2,400 for Lingen Davies Cancer Fund.

On Sunday, 6th April 2025, we had a fantastic day welcoming so many people to Eaton Manor for the first Lingen Davies Cancer Fund Spring Walk & Easter Trail, and we are delighted that it raised over £2,400 for the charity!

The weather couldn’t have been better, with the sun shining and dry conditions underfoot for the 3-mile walk.

Huge, beautifully decorated eggs were situated along the route for children to spot, with a chocolate egg waiting for them at the finish line.
– Many of the children had enjoyed painting the giant eggs at their schools in March, so they loved finding them out of the route.

The Secret Garden proved very popular with families after the walk, to enjoy the sunshine, meet Sonny, the Lingen Davies mascot, play garden games, and make the most of the tea and cake on offer in our Events Venue.

Lots of the children also enjoyed the Craft Corner in our Heywood Room with our wonderful artist-in-residence, where they made Easter-themed puppets.

Brian from Lingen Davies did a sterling job on the raffle, with the main prize being an enormous chocolate egg from Magna Specialist Confectioners LTD. Congratulations to the winner!

A huge thank you to all the volunteers and everyone who came along to enjoy the day!
